Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Senior Buyer to secure subcontracted components, materials, and services for engineered products. You will own a supplier portfolio, support commercial teams, and strengthen supply continuity for customer projects.

You will collaborate with supply chain, operations, and suppliers to improve profitability and delivery performance. Strong sourcing judgment and problem-solving will directly support Flowserve’s strategies and commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience.
• Proven experience negotiating supplier pricing, delivery terms, and commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of supplier evaluation, development, quality, logistics, and procurement processes.
• Experience sourcing technical products/services with attention to specifications and quality requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems, enabling effective planning and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute just-in-time purchasing to ensure materials and services are available for manufacturing and projects.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery commitments, and commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Support quotation processes with competitive supplier pricing and delivery information.
• Manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers and intercompany teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain supplier agreements to improve pricing, delivery performance, and reliability.
• Evaluate supplier performance and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams and suppliers.
• Resolve import, logistics, and delivery issues affecting local service centers.
• Review inventory and stock levels to maintain material availability and optimize stock.
• Apply technical and quality requirements in sourcing to ensure supplier compliance with specs.
• Maintain purchasing records and use ERP/MRP for planning and reporting.
