Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Security Field Engineer to help data teams assess and improve the security of the platform. You will meet with customers, train teams, and develop customer-facing content such as slides and white papers.

Reporting to the Head of Security Field Engineering, you will drive scalable enablement, automation, and security best practices across multiple domains, with opportunities to influence product messaging and strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical pre-sales or post-sales experience explaining complex concepts.
• Ability to understand security principles and communicate them clearly.
• Experience across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, network and endpoint security, web apps, vulnerability management, identity, SIEM.
• Some scripting or programming experience and eagerness to use AI to scale impact.
• Familiarity with the Databricks platform is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• You will be viewed as a security expert as you work with field teams and customers to understand architectures and address concerns.
• Contributions may include scalable slides or white papers, enablement, automation, or technical leadership.
• Your work will be felt across the company through collateral, knowledge management, and systems you build.
• You will learn common security and compliance regimes to save customers time and effort.
• You will identify customer pain points and collaborate with product teams to improve messaging.
