Job summary

Databricks is seeking a senior security leader to shape the vision and strategy for data security across our platform. You will lead efforts to strengthen our infrastructure and protect customer data while maintaining high availability at scale across a global service.

Collaborate with product and engineering, attract top security talent, represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events, and evangelize data-security initiatives to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data Security or related areas.
• Expertise in two or more areas: Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust & Safety.
• 10+ years building large-scale distributed systems.
• Leadership across functional and organizational lines.
• Strong communication to explain security concepts to senior leaders.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute security strategy across the Databricks platform.
• Identify and plug gaps in infrastructure and services to improve safety.
• Represent the security engineering discipline within the organization.
