Job summary

MetLife’s Global Security team seeks a Principal Security Architect to lead risk-based security architecture reviews and provide enterprise-grade guidance for technology initiatives. You’ll evaluate architectures, identify risks, and recommend controls, influencing decisions and creating reusable reference patterns.

The role spans IAM, network, data, cloud, and AI security domains. You will drive target-state architecture, maturity models, and roadmaps while collaborating with cross-functional

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of overall experience in security/architecture roles.
• Experience in threat modeling, risk assessment, and security remediation planning.
• Deep understanding of security architecture patterns including IAM, zero trust, segmentation, and secure-by-design principles.
• Ability to develop reference architectures and reusable design patterns for enterprise teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Security Architecture Review (SAR) assessments for enterprise technology initiatives.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to identify design gaps and risks.
• Evaluate security controls and technologies against enterprise standards and risk posture.
• Design secure architecture patterns across IAM, network, data, cloud, and AI domains.
• Develop reusable security reference architectures and guardrails to enable secure delivery at scale.
