Job summary

USfalcon is seeking a Strategic Sealift Analyst to support the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Installations and Logistics. The role focuses on drafting decision briefs, analyzing Strategic Sealift data, and developing data-driven models to inform N4L3 programs.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of PM support or military experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist leadership to draft decision briefs and strategic plans for senior leadership.
  • Collect and analyze Strategic Sealift data to support N4L3 initiatives.
  • Develop data-driven models for fleet elements (capacity, age, size).
  • Coordinate data products with external stakeholders for consistent messaging.
  • Support PPBE planning and integrate N4L3 programs with others.
  • Assist in meetings with AOs to compile program information and validate offsets.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Strategic Sealift Analyst to work out of Arlington, VA.

PAY:

$110,000 - $120,000

JOB SUMMARY:

The Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (DCNO) for Installations and Logistics (OPNAV N4) plans, defines, and provides logistics and readiness support needs to support the readiness of the operating forces and shore establishment. OPNAV N4L3 serves as the Joint Distribution branch responsible for facilitating achievement of N4, OPNAV, Navy, and DoD objectives related to strategic sealift and mobility capabilities requirements. The candidate will provide presentation and briefing material development support to the N4L3 Joint Distribution branch head.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Assist N4L3 leadership to draft decision briefs, strategic and tactical planning documents for senior leadership.
  • Collect, organize, analyze and interpret Strategic Sealift data to support N4L Initiatives.
  • Develop data driven models for various technical elements of Strategic Sealift fleet (e.g., capacity, age, size, etc.) to provide data driven products coming out of N4L3.
  • Coordinate data products with outside stakeholder organizations to ensure alignment of messaging and products across the Strategic Sealift enterprise.
  • Assist in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process and integrate N4L3 programs with other N4 programs.
  • Support planning and coordination meetings with N4L3 Action Officers (AOs) to compile and analyze program information, and assist in the validation of offsets (budget cuts).
  • Track tasker status.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in a project management support role or military service.
  • Ability to coordinate and track numerous efforts simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful presentations and decision briefs for senior leadership.
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to meet and exceed expectations and deadlines.
  • Direct client support experience (on-site support a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of the maritime industry and Maritime Administration's Ready Reserve Fleet (RRF) / Military Sealift Command.
  • Experience using ETMS2 or a similar tasker management system.
  • Prior Joint Capability and Integration Development System (JCIDS) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process experience.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
