Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an SCM Contracts Agent in Power Delivery to provide daily contracting and sourcing support, including RFI/RFP processes, contract development, and negotiations. The role partners with category management to meet service and material sourcing needs while reducing risk and costs.

The position requires strong communications, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage 20–25 active projects with defined turnaround times throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Law or other relevant technical disciplines preferred.
• Experience in contract sourcing and development, including negotiating terms for services contracts.
• Experience with SCM technology such as Maximo and GEP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily contracting and sourcing activities from RFI/RFP to contract closeout.
• Lead negotiations, risk assessment, and preparation of contract documents and master agreements.
• Promote AI and digital technologies to improve contract lifecycle management.
• Develop sourcing strategies for a range of services and manage multiple projects concurrently.
