Job summary

Knowesis Inc. seeks a Scientific Review Manager to oversee the scientific peer-review process, ensure panel integrity, and manage a surge pool of Scientific Review Officers. You will enforce criteria and QA for Summary Statements, serving as the primary liaison to CDMRP Program Managers.

This senior role requires directing reviewer recruitment, configuring panels, and maintaining strict COI and confidentiality protocols while collaborating across IPT meetings to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a biomedical, clinical, or scientific discipline.
• 8+ years managing complex scientific peer review panels.
• Experience supervising large teams of professionals.
• Deep understanding of federal scientific review processes and COI management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the scientific peer review process for assigned programs.
• Supervise SROs in reviewer recruitment, panel configuration, and execution.
• Oversee QA of Summary Statements for accuracy and consistency.
• Liaise with CDMRP Program Managers on scientific review operations.
• Participate in IPT meetings to assist planning and process improvements.
• Monitor reviewer performance and manage reviewer scoring.
• Address COI management and confidentiality protocols.
