Job summary

Democracy Prep Public Schools is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a school operations team and partner with the School Leader and Director of Operations. The role emphasizes proactive systems, compliance, and stakeholder engagement to support an outstanding scholar experience.

You will design day-to-day procedures, manage data systems, oversee procurement and events, and build partnerships with families and the local community. This is a fully on-site role at our New York campus.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team of two or more individuals.
• Ability to design and establish procedures for day-to-day operations.
• Strong data handling and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a school operations team to ensure operations support high-quality education and strong relationships with families.
• Design, establish, and maintain procedures for day-to-day operations (arrival, dismissal, food service, attendance, transportation, etc.).
• Build professional relationships with stakeholders in building, community, and central office.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local non-instructional statutes (health and fire codes).
• Monitor data accuracy in state databases and internal systems.
• Manage data systems for assessments, enrollment, attendance, and promotion status.
• Prepare and analyze data reports for school leaders.
• Oversee procurement, distribution, organization and inventory systems.
• Coordinate logistics for field trips and events, including budgeting and purchases.
• Develop family leadership programs to provide a parent voice in scholar experience.
• Develop preventive maintenance for school technology and classroom devices.
• Oversee school beautification and ensure accessible documentation of systems.
