UW Facilities Safety seeks a Safety Training Manager to design, deliver, and evaluate comprehensive safety training for UW Facilities. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, training needs assessments, and program development to support health and safety across the department.

Reporting to the Director of Safety, you will lead in-person and online training, collaborate with executives and supervisors, and drive strategic safety initiatives aligned with UW Facilities goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
• At least four years of hands-on experience developing, delivering, and evaluating regulatory required health and safety training.
• Experience developing and managing safety programs and participating in strategic planning.
• Ability to function in a complex regulatory environment.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license.
• CSP or CIH certification preferred.
• Experience in trenching/shoring, hoisting/rigging, forklift operator and MEWP training.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate safety training programs (in-person and online).
• Collaborate with leadership to measure and improve safety programs and track metrics.
• Provide field safety support and consultation at worksites to ensure program adherence.
• Develop and implement regulatory health and safety programs and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and perform additional duties as needed.
