Job summary

University of Washington Facilities Safety is seeking a Field Safety Specialist to join their team. You will support safety program integration, conduct worksite audits, and develop reports to identify actionable recommendations that reduce incidents.

Reporting to the Director of Safety, this role requires knowledge of L&I regulations, safety analysis, and training development. Occasional travel, strong communication, and independent problem-solving are essential in a large university

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Five years of professional experience implementing occupational health and safety programs.
• Knowledge of WISHA/OSHA or equivalent regulations.

Responsibilities

• Field safety support & consultation to verify safe work practices and compliance.
• Safety program evaluation, incident prevention, and trend analysis.
• Safety training development and collaboration with EH&S.
