Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a routing coordinator to join its Portland, OR operations. The role will support regional transportation planning, driver assignments, and vehicle utilization to maximize efficiency and service levels.

You will work closely with warehouse and dispatch teams to optimize routes and schedules while ensuring safety standards. Ideal candidates bring 2-4 years of routing experience, familiarity with Roadnet Transportation Suite, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of routing experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of Roadnet Transportation Suite preferred.
• Basic understanding of transportation safety guidelines and DOT procedures related to routing.
• Strong communication and team building skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conducts continuous analysis of route, vehicle and driver assignments and reviews scheduling for improvements.
• Assists with planning and implementing vehicle scheduling, routing, dispatching, and communication to optimize assets.
• Develops route and stop logic to meet customer service standards.
• Interfaces with warehouse operations to ensure optimal truck loading logic using Roadnet.
• Allocates equipment and driver resources for scheduled and unscheduled deliveries and pickups.
• Collaborates with Fleet and Dispatch teams for coverage and cost control.
• Communicates load requisites, routes sequencing and schedules with Night Warehouse team.
• Performs daily maintenance of routing data and incorporates real-time driver/sales feedback.
