Job summary

Vistar in Portland, OR is hiring a Router to create and manage delivery routes, modify schedules, and coordinate with drivers, sales, and warehouse teams. You will use Roadnet and other systems to optimize routes, monitor performance, and ensure accurate, timely information for daily operations.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and adherence to Federal DOT guidelines. A strong computer skillset including MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years distribution, logistics, transportation or related work experience.
• Basic/Intermediate computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Establish delivery routes which are cost effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer service, quality and satisfaction.
• Utilize Roadnet application to ensure Delivery costs are held to company expected run rates year over year.
• Establish routing procedures and schedules for optimum use of personnel and equipment with driver safety focus.
• Perform Roadnet routing maintenance daily to ensure location data is accurate and current: Routes, delivery requirements, geocoding, time windows, service times, and more.
• Provide costing, off-days, maintenance, scorecard, KPI reporting on scheduled intervals.
• Recap previous days routing results and adjust standard routes as needed.
• Create maps and printing driving instructions for unfamiliar routes.
• Produce driver manifest reports and distribute nightly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
