Job summary

Highland Roofing Company Inc. is seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimating Manager to lead and develop our estimating team while driving consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

The role can be based in Charlotte, Raleigh/Garner, or Wilmington, with regular travel to locations to build relationships and support team development. You will lead bid reviews, ensure timely, competitive estimates, and collaborate with sales and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience OR 8+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Previous leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of construction estimating principles.
• Experience with Estimating software.
• Proven ability to coach and develop employees.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop estimators across multiple locations.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, training, and performance coaching.
• Manage bid schedules, workload distribution, and estimating workflow.
• Improve estimating processes, standards, and best practices.
• Lead bid reviews and strengthen risk management practices.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and completed on time.
• Partner with sales, operations, and senior leadership to support company growth.
• Travel regularly to Highland Roofing locations to build relationships and support team development.
