City of Corvallis, Human Resources, seeks a Risk/Safety Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and administer programs for workers’ compensation, safety, and property risk management. The role ensures compliance with laws and collective bargaining agreements, conducts research, prepares reports, and provides technical guidance.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with a 12-month probationary period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Three years of professional risk management and/or human resource experience.
• Three years of computer experience using HRIS, onboarding, LMS, Recruitment and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Manage the workers' compensation program: track and process claims, communicate with claimants, attorneys, and carriers.
• Administer the early return-to-work program and coordinate reasonable accommodations.
• Oversee property risk management, liability investigations, and claims liaison with attorneys and insurers.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and related regulations.
• Coordinate citywide safety program, policies, and training; serve as EOC Safety Officer.
• Track and report safety trainings and ensure timely completion across departments.
• Research updates to federal/state laws affecting risk management and safety; advise HR Director.
• Develop budget information for risk management, monitor funds, and assist with fund administration.
• Process invoices and prepare quarterly/annual OSHA reports.
• Oversee drug/alcohol testing program as Designated Employer Representative.
• Provide system administration for HR software and analyze data to generate reports.
