Related Companies is seeking a Risk Manager to support risk management across its real estate portfolios and corporate operations. You will collaborate with business units, brokers, underwriters, and lenders to identify exposures and implement strategies to protect assets.

The role requires 8+ years in commercial risk management, knowledge of property/casualty/environmental programs, and strong analytical capabilities. A robust RMIS and Excel proficiency is essential, with ARM preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in commercial risk management for real estate portfolios.
• Working knowledge of property, casualty, and environmental insurance programs.
• Experience reviewing insurance requirements in loan agreements, leases, and JV agreements.
• Proficiency with RMIS and Microsoft Excel.
• ARM designation preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer multiple insurance programs for real estate portfolios and corporate operations.
• Perform asset acquisition due diligence, identifying and analyzing risk issues, compiling underwriting data, and making recommendations.
• Review loan agreements and other documents to evaluate risk provisions, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers, brokers, and service providers for risk management programs.
• Provide consultation on insurance and risk management to business units; liaise with lenders, partners, and managers.
• Support budgets, forecasts, financial reports, premium allocations, audits, and retrospective premium calculations.
• Respond to requests for evidence of insurance for acquisitions, loans, investors, or joint ventures.
• Maintain annual records of insurance provided by joint venture partners for compliance.
• Support internal communications and strategies on program recommendations and risk initiatives.
• Support business continuity and catastrophe response strategies.
• Maintain risk management data in RMIS and produce reports for internal review.
• Perform other risk management duties as assigned.
