Job summary

Capital One is seeking a strategic Risk Manager to join Enterprise Risk Management. You will help strengthen the Risk Identification Framework, drive cross-functional initiatives, and deliver real-time risk insights to leadership.

You will collaborate with diverse teams across technology, product, and data, with a focus on governance, controls, and regulatory readiness. This role emphasizes problem solving, clear communication, and proactive risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, Project Management, or Process Management.
• At least 5 years of experience partnering with internal business partners.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and enhance elements of the Risk Identification Framework to align with strategic objectives.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to simplify and standardize Risk Identification processes.
• Use data analysis and insights to identify core problems and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with 1st and 2nd Line stakeholders to align strategies and execution across lines.
• Partner with technology, product, and data teams to implement system and process updates.
• Design and implement risk metrics to measure framework effectiveness and health of processes.
• Lead training across lines of defense to ensure consistent adoption.
• Provide guidance to ensure consistent execution across business lines.
• Deliver reporting and executive-level risk visibility.
