Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 4 years of Financial Services experience.
• At least 6 years of Risk Management experience.
• At least 2 years of People Management experience.
• Masters Degree preferred.
• 8+ years of Financial Services risk management experience preferred.
• 7+ years of project or process management experience.
• 5+ years of internal strategy or management consulting experience leading cross functional financial services projects and programs.
• 5+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve our Risk Management processes and execute changes to strategies, methodologies, governance, and reporting elements.
• Synthesize and elevate information to executive levels.
• Leverage data, metrics, and analysis to monitor process improvement strategies.
• Cultivate data sources to feed metrics/reporting; define requirements for enterprise risk metric system of record.
• Perform validation data analysis including trending, problem identification, and remediation plans.
• Consult on analysis and reporting outcomes to observe trends and provide insights on changes to risk environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and leaders across organizations to achieve objectives.
• Design and deliver effective risk management framework.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Communicate, collaborate and influence across levels of the organization.
• Support internal and external audits and exams.
• Stay aware of changing regulatory environment and impacts to Capital One.
• Balance priorities to drive business value and manage risk initiatives.
• Lead a team of professionals to advise stakeholders on risk identification and disposition.
• Set direction, manage expectations, and lead cross-functional teams.
