Job summary

First Service Bank in Arkansas seeks a Director of Risk Management to lead enterprise‑wide risk, compliance, regulatory readiness, and controls. You will partner with executive leadership, the Board, in‑house counsel, and cross‑functional leaders to protect the Bank and support responsible growth.

You will oversee BSA/AML, fraud risk, internal audit, and regulatory change management, aligning risk programs with strategic objectives while maintaining a strong risk culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• 7–10 years progressive experience in banking or financial services.
• At least 5 years in risk management with leadership experience.
• Leadership-level risk management experience in a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of financial regulatory requirements and examinations.
• Experience across risk, compliance, audit, operations, credit or technology.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high‑impact responsibilities.
• Clear, confident, and influential communication.
• Professional judgment with integrity, accountability, resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise‑wide leadership and coordination of risk management activities.
• Liaise with federal/state regulators and coordinate examinations and responses.
• Support Compliance Management System and regulatory change processes.
• Direct BSA/AML, fraud risk, compliance, and internal audit functions.
• Partner with Credit leadership on emerging credit and asset risk.
• Oversee CECL processes, controls, documentation, and monitoring.
• Promote consistent operational controls and risk ownership.
• Ensure readiness for regulatory examinations and timely issue remediation.
• Collaborate across departments to identify gaps and clarify ownership.
• Identify emerging regulatory, operational, credit, and strategic risks.
• Develop and monitor KRIs/KPIs and risk reporting.
• Present material risk information to senior management and the Board.
• Foster accountability and a strong risk culture; IT risk experience preferred.
