Job summary

LJA, an employee-owned engineering consultancy, seeks a Risk Insurance & Claims Manager to protect the firm’s balance sheet and reputation. You will lead a comprehensive insurance program, manage claims, and collaborate with leadership across Legal, Finance, Operations, and sector teams.

You will integrate risk management into contracts, oversee broker relationships, and drive data-driven improvements to minimize risk while supporting growth across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, insurance, business, finance, accounting, engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional insurance/risk designations preferred.
• Active property and casualty license preferred or willingness to obtain after employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise insurance program including multiple coverages and policy management.
• Manage certificates of insurance, exposure data, and contractual risk transfer.
• Oversee claims reporting, investigation, tracking, and recovery strategies.
• Lead renewal processes, broker management, and market strategy for insurance programs.
• Analyze insurance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
• Provide training and build processes for risk management across the firm.
