Job summary

LJA is seeking a Risk Insurance & Claims Manager to protect the firm’s balance sheet, reputation, and employee-owner interests through disciplined program management, claims oversight, and proactive loss prevention.

This role collaborates with executives, Legal, Finance, Operations, brokers, and outside counsel to ensure comprehensive coverage and mitigation of risk across a multi‑office engineering consultancy.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in corporate risk management or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience managing a complex multi‑line insurance program.
• Experience coordinating insurance renewals and preparing underwriting submissions.
• Ability to analyze insurance proposals, loss information, and policy language.

Responsibilities

• Lead the internal owner of LJA’s enterprise insurance program across multiple coverages.
• Manage policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and exposure data.
• Lead identification, reporting, investigation, and resolution of insured claims.
• Drive renewal processes, broker management, and market strategy.
• Develop dashboards and reports for leadership and strategic initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training on insurance requirements and risk management best practices.
