Job summary

Santander Bank is seeking a Sr. Associate in Risk Management to support the First Line of Defense by driving risk practices and embedding control awareness in the business lines. The role emphasizes collaboration with risk stakeholders and ongoing improvement of risk controls across the enterprise.

The candidate will engage in risk assessments, KPI/KRI development, issue remediation, and regulatory/exam support while operating in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment in Quincy, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field.
• Master’s Degree Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field.
• 9 Years Risk Management, Internal Controls, relevant line of business experience and/or legal or regulatory experience.
• 5 Years Business Unit experience in risk management or compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive Risk Culture by raising awareness of risk frameworks, policies and standards within the business line.
• Maintain communication with SLoD and Business Lines.
• Ensure adherence to risk frameworks, policies and standards and provide input on framework reviews.
• Monitor risk indicators and controls, identify negative trends, and report risk to leadership.
• Support risk identification, assessment, and remediation across business lines and processes.
• Liaise with business lines for exam-related activities including regulatory or internal audits.
• Execute risk programs including RCSA, Issues Management, Scenario Analysis, and Loss Management.
