Job summary

Santander Bank in the United States is seeking a Vice President to lead I-Banking Business Control & Risk Management. You will champion risk controls as a strategic partner, guiding stakeholders to embed risk practices in the first line of defense and ensure timely remediation of issues.

You will oversee scenario analysis, MRIA and KRI frameworks, generate risk reports for senior management, and align activities with enterprise risk governance and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, business, risk management or finance.
• Master’s degree preferred in related fields.
• 9+ years in risk management, internal controls, auditing or regulatory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of scenario analyses with BCOs and business units.
• Oversee MRIA program and enterprise risk assessments for governance integration.
• Develop and refine KRIs with threshold monitoring and escalation processes.
• Produce risk reporting and MIS for committees and executives.
• Partner with BCOs to ensure risks are identified, assessed, and managed.
