Job summary

Edward Jones is seeking a Senior Risk Manager – Financial Planning to join the Wealth Management and Field Management risk team. You will serve as a trusted risk advisor, managing risks across financial planning activities and supporting the ERM framework.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in risk management or audit, and a FINRA Series 7 license (or within 12 months). Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of risk management and/or audit experience.
• FINRA Series 7 license required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Experience in financial services, especially trading, wealth/asset management, and financial planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Carry out risk and control activities for the Financial Planning line in alignment with the ERM program.
• Manage issues, conduct risk assessments, and maintain inventories and mappings of critical processes.
• Advise on divisional processes, policies, and ERM framework standards.
• Partner with business owners to ensure policies align with ERM requirements and support remediation.
• Execute risk management for open high risks, including root cause analysis and action plans.
• Identify emerging risk concerns and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Use a GRC system to document risk data and support leadership reporting.
• Provide risk training and support understanding of the ERM Program.
