Job summary

Edward Jones seeks a risk and controls professional to join its Operations risk team. The role centers on risk assessment, managing SOX/SEC 17a-5 controls, and applying the Enterprise Risk Management framework to protect the firm and clients.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, support internal audits, develop risk training materials, and monitor risks across business processes. A bachelor’s degree and risk/audit experience are required, with proficiency in Microsoft tools and GRC software.

Qualifications

• Risk management or audit experience required
• College degree (bachelor's degree preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft product suite as well as other software programs and databases
• Ability to effectively execute risk engagements utilizing established risk frameworks

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk engagements and SOX/SEC 17a-5 controls across the Operations division
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to verify risk controls and reporting accuracy
• Coordinate with external auditors and risk professionals on assessments and remediation
• Support enterprise risk management program processes and training materials
• Identify process risks, develop action plans, and track remediation
• Maintain knowledge of ERM standards and industry best practices
• Provide guidance to partners on risk training and education initiatives
• Assist in monitoring high-risk activities and documenting evidence
