Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior RF Spectrum Policy Analyst/Engineer to support spectrum policy for government customers. Based on on-site work at Chantilly, VA or El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO, you’ll analyze ITU/NTIA/FCC actions and advocate for policy positions to ensure access to spectrum.

Responsibilities include developing spectrum plans, coordinating with DoD and civil agencies, and mentoring engineers. A TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Knowledge of ITU, NTIA or FCC spectrum management processes.
  • Prior experience with spectrum policy and coordination.
  • Knowledge of RF communications systems and architectures.
  • Project development experience and ability to lead small teams of engineers.
  • Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports.
  • Some travel, approximately less than 10%, anticipated.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate national and international spectrum policy activities and determine impacts to the customer.
  • Support development and implementation of spectrum plans, strategies, and policies.
  • Advocate for policy positions to protect the customer’s use of spectrum.
  • Provide technical analysis to support spectrum reallocation studies.
  • Coordinate with program offices, federal spectrum agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior employees in spectrum management and engineering.
