Job summary

Discord is looking for a Strategic Finance Analyst to join our Revenue Finance team in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will drive revenue modeling, forecasting, and regular reporting, partnering with Data Science, Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and Operations to influence revenue strategy and growth decisions.

They should have 2+ years in investment banking, top-tier consulting, or high-growth tech FP&A with strong Excel/modelling skills, SQL, and subscription modeling experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in investment banking, top-tier consulting, or high-growth tech FP&A with financial-modeling ownership.
• Strong mastery of Excel and modelling techniques; SQL and data visualization experience encouraged.
• Experience with consumer-subscription modeling, including churn and FX forecasting.
• Passion for automating workflows to save time and increase accuracy.
• Hands-on fluency with AI agents like Claude Code and Codex applied to finance tasks.
• Ability to distill complex analysis into clear recommendations for executives.

Responsibilities

• Forecast long-range revenue by cohort behavior, product impact, FX trends, and experiments.
• Analyze ARPU, retention, geo/product performance to surface actionable insights.
• Automate dashboards and processes in Excel, Pigment, and Looker.
• Draft models with AI tools and provide judgment on outputs.
• Partner with Product, Partnerships, Engineering, and GTM to size opportunities and set targets.
• Improve data pipelines and real-time reporting through cross-functional collaboration.
• Identify data/process ambiguities and institutionalize robust best practices.
• Mentor teammates and grow the data/finance craft.
