Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years purchasing retail merchandise experience preferred; will consider 7 years in lieu of a degree.
• Strong attention to detail and high organizational standards with the ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Must have excellent presentation skills and proficient math abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communicator who thrives in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops seasonal plans at retail that deliver retail strategy, sales, profit, and inventory control.
• Develops, plans, and executes major launches via PR and/or event plans.
• Plans and executes inventory strategy and sales presentations for new launches; directs training and selling requirements.
• Monitors visual presentation of merchandise.
• Reports on merchandising progress; analyzes data and directs changes to improve plans.
• Coordinates purchasing details with vendors including pricing revisions, order changes, back orders, and invoice discrepancies.
• Works with store manager, marketing, inventory control, and other departments to ensure merchandising success.
• Develops merchandise sources; solicits bids and quotes; evaluates vendor reliability.
• Other duties as assigned.
