Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Resource Management Senior Associate to oversee resource utilization and scheduling, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic plan. You will coordinate with LOB leaders, engagement teams, and management to forecast needs and optimize staffing across engagements.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, reporting, and cross-team collaboration to deploy talent effectively, develop staff, and meet financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years experience as a resource management professional in a professional services firm.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience with a resource scheduling or workforce allocation tool (Dayshape preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist the resource manager and leaders in scheduling and engagement management.
• Generate scheduling, utilization and forecasting reports and provide analysis for staffing decisions.
• Monitor schedules to ensure staff are effectively utilized and aligned with financial plans.
• Implement firm-wide programs as needed (rotations, global assignments).
• Facilitate scheduling meetings and ensure clarity in recommendations; follow up on unresolved issues.
• Administer scheduling systems and orientation for new hires.
• Proofread and verify scheduling and related information for accuracy.
• Understand business needs and maintain focus on goals and initiatives.
• Initiate and maintain communication with internal clients as trusted advisor.
• Provide input for talent development and participate in development meetings.
• Share best practices and stay updated on scheduling technology.
