Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Administration, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education, academic medicine, health care, research, nonprofit, or a similarly complex environment.
• Significant experience managing complex projects, initiatives, or programs involving multiple stakeholders and organizational units.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including substantial experience developing executive-level reports, presentations, briefing materials, correspondence, and other communications.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific, technical, administrative, or institutional information into clear, audience-appropriate content.

Responsibilities

• Executive and Organizational Support: coordinate priorities across UMass Chan Research and the broader research enterprise.
• Program and Portfolio Management: develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports.
• Research Leadership and Enterprise Coordination: facilitate collaboration among leaders across the research enterprise.
• Analysis and Decision Support: conduct research, benchmarking, and prepare executive summaries and recommendations.
• Communications, Content Strategy, and Stakeholder Engagement: write and edit research content for websites and communications platforms.
