Job summary

Harvard University’s Harvard Graduate School of Education Office for Research Administration (HGSE ORA) seeks a Senior Research Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of HGSE Principal Investigators and research agreements through proposal development, post‑award management, and compliance.

Reporting to the Director of Research Management, you will ensure adherence to sponsor, donor, and Harvard policies, providing expert guidance on fiscal issues while coordinating with Central OSP and HGSE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of sponsor regulations and Harvard policies.
• Experience with Oracle financial systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-award activities including funding opportunity reviews and proposal submission for sponsored and non-sponsored funding.
• Perform complex post-award activities including award review, financial analysis, reporting, and planning.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on sponsored and non-sponsored research administration issues.
• Monitor grants and contracts to ensure expenses comply with agreements and regulations.
• Coordinate with HGSE ORA, Central OSP, and HGSE Finance on compliance and workflow.
