Job summary

Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) ORA seeks a Research Portfolio Manager to oversee assigned PIs across proposal development, post‑award management, and related services. You will ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines, donor rules, and Harvard policies while supporting HGSE's research mission.

This one‑year term role covers budgeting, contract review, and collaboration with HGSE ORA, Central OSP, and Finance to ensure timely, compliant lifecycle support for funded projects.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in sponsored research administration or accounting.
• Experience interpreting sponsor and donor guidelines and Harvard policies.
• Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide proposals, post-award management, and budget interpretation for PI portfolios.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements across funded work.
• Collaborate with HGSE ORA, Central OSP, and Finance to manage contracts and gifts.
• Monitor awards for compliance, budgets, and timelines; support process improvement.
