Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to serve as a strategic partner to ORNL's research directorates within the Research Computing division of IT Services. You will translate programmatic needs into IT scope and architecture requirements.

You will collaborate with ITSD teams to manage a portfolio of HPC, cloud, and software development engagements, driving prioritized outcomes and delivering clear dashboards and status reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT, information systems, science, engineering, business, or related field with at least 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, products, services.
• Experience building and maintaining customer relationships.
• Proven track record of resolving disagreements.
• Experience supporting IT services for research environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of technical customer engagements across HPC, Cloud, DevOps and software development.
• Collaborate with experts to anticipate IT services and set priorities for research partners.
• Advocate for research partners in final design and scoping with ITSD.
• Lead on customer problems and issues.
• Communicate ITSD priorities, resources, roadmaps and project impacts to customers.
• Provide dashboards and scheduled reports to inform service health and engagement status.
