Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a Project Manager for strategic development and outreach within DMPO, collaborating with critical staff and partners to evolve our national security and defense manufacturing portfolio.

You will work with senior leadership, deliver on R&D projects, manage costs, and implement standardized project controls and reporting. Strong communication and leadership are essential, as is the ability to navigate a fast-paced research environment.

Qualifications

• BS in science, engineering, or related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in applied R&D project management and/or business/industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams.
• Must be able to learn at a high level the technical area supported.
• Advanced knowledge of office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).

Responsibilities

• Strategic development and outreach with staff and partners to evolve ORNL portfolio.
• Lead and develop project engagement strategies with ORNL leadership.
• Identify and implement project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards.
