Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking a Strategic Research Development Specialist III to advance research development across HWCOE. You will lead strategic planning, identify funding opportunities, and guide interdisciplinary teams through proposal development and sponsor alignment.

Responsibilities include grant-writing support, developing training programs, tracking metrics, coordinating site visits, and providing data-driven analyses to inform leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and three years of experience in grant and contract administration, grant writing, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• PhD preferred in engineering or a related field with grant-writing/administration experience.
• Ability to identify funding opportunities and apply critical thinking to make effective decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic plan to align collaborative initiatives with HWCOE’s research goals.
• Support development of interdisciplinary center and team proposals.
• Guide faculty and research teams through proposal development and sponsor alignment.
