Job summary

The University of Utah Health Research Office (HSRO) seeks a Research Development Associate to coordinate strategic research initiatives, support honorific award nominations, and assist with complex proposal development. You will work with faculty, initiative leaders, staff, and campus partners to translate priorities into organized work plans and deliver high-quality materials.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Research Program Development, this role requires strong project coordination,

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
Strong writing, editing, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Experience coordinating multiple projects, programs, or initiatives with overlapping timelines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Coordinate operations of a designated strategic research initiative with work plans, schedules, deliverables and progress updates.
Manage budget tracking and reporting with appropriate partners.
Develop content for a weekly initiative newsletter and related communications.
Plan and execute research community-building events, seminars and workshops.
Prepare announcements, presentations, reports and other materials for internal and external audiences.
