Job summary

Empire State Development seeks a Senior Manager of Research and Data Analytics to lead research, data analysis, and reporting across the MPTV portfolio. This role will supervise data collection, validation, and presentation for film and media incentive programs, translating findings into insights for executive leadership and stakeholders in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in leading research and analytical initiatives with complex datasets.
• Experience translating data into actionable insights for executive leadership; familiarity with public programs.
• Knowledge of state budgets, public programs, and legislative processes desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, evaluation, and data analysis across programs to inform strategy.
• Conduct independent research on complex topics leveraging multiple sources.
• Translate research into documents and spreadsheets for leadership.
• Develop analytics roadmaps and best practices to support program execution.
• Produce high-level reporting and briefing materials for AVP, VP, SVP; track programs.
