Senior Director, Analytics

Overview

A leading, global media and entertainment organization is seeking a Senior Director of Analytics to lead a high-impact, business-facing analytics function. This individual will oversee a team responsible for delivering insights across content performance, audience behavior, and revenue optimization, partnering closely with senior leadership across Product, Marketing, and Ad Sales.

This is a highly visible role focused on shaping data strategy, driving monetization insights, and scaling analytics capabilities across a complex digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts and analytics leaders across multiple business verticals
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to define analytics strategy tied to audience growth, engagement, and revenue performance
  • Oversee reporting and insights across digital platforms (web, mobile, streaming/OTT)
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Drive KPI development and standardization across content, marketing, and advertising functions
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure scalable, reliable data pipelines and models
  • Influence experimentation strategy (A/B testing, user segmentation, performance optimization)
  • Build executive-level dashboards and deliver regular business reviews
  • Establish best practices around data governance, quality, and analytics frameworks
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy
  • 5+ years in leadership roles managing high-performing analytics teams
  • Experience within media, entertainment, streaming, digital publishing, or ad-supported platforms strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with modern BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud data environments (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and/or Ad Sales teams
  • Strong understanding of digital KPIs (engagement, retention, LTV, ad revenue, etc.)
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic decision-making
Nice to Have
  • Experience with experimentation platforms (Optimizely, Amplitude, etc.)
  • Exposure to subscription or ad-supported business models
  • Background in data modeling or working closely with data engineering teams
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and personalization strategies
