Job summary

Virginia Tech is seeking a Research COI Program Coordinator to support the Division of Scholarly Integrity and Research Compliance. The role focuses on identifying and managing financial conflicts of interest in sponsored research and developing management plans with timely execution.

The successful candidate will review conflicts, communicate with faculty, and ensure compliance with university policy 13010 while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures.
• Experience with project management and/or database administration.
• Demonstrated capacity for meticulous record-keeping and document review.
• Strong analytical and multitasking skills.
• Demonstrated ability working in an organized manner to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience interpreting, summarizing, and communicating complex documents such as research protocols, federal regulations, policies, or standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrated ability in collaboratively solving problems.
• Ability to handle confidential materials.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat and standard office programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Complete financial conflict of interest reviews and facilitate related activities.
• Provide guidance to university community on the disclosure process and its application.
• Advise faculty on disclosure and regulatory compliance and communicate information effectively.
