Job summary

The Penn State College of Medicine invites applications for a part-time academic Associate Professor and Senior Advisor for Research Administration and Transition. The role provides strategic counsel and ensures continuity of research administration during onboarding of the new Associate Dean.

Key duties include onboarding, knowledge transfer, stakeholder liaison, and serving as Institutional Official for IACUC, with emphasis on compliance and organizational development.

Qualifications

• Experience as Associate Dean for Research Administration or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Penn State College of Medicine and its research enterprise.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding and mentoring to the incoming Associate Dean for Research Administration.
• Facilitate transfer of institutional knowledge and best practices in research administration.
• Ensure continuity of support for faculty, trainees, and students during the leadership transition.
• Advise on stakeholder relationships and external partnerships.
• Advise on complex research administration matters including compliance and operations.
• Assist with evaluating initiatives during the transition period.
• Serve as Institutional Official for the IACUC.
