Job summary

Penn State is seeking a Senior Advisor for Research Administration and Transition to provide strategic counsel and continuity of operations during onboarding of the new Associate Dean for Research Administration.

The role focuses on onboarding, knowledge transfer, and maintaining ongoing support for research faculty, trainees, and students while guiding administrative initiatives and organizational development. Remote/hybrid work is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Associate Dean for Research Administration or equivalent senior leadership position.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State University, and Penn State Health research enterprise, policies, and governance structures.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding and mentoring support to the incoming Associate Dean for Research Administration.
• Advise on stakeholder relationships and internal/external partnerships.
• Ensure continuity of research administration during leadership transition.
