Job summary

GMT LLC is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to manage daily merchandise inventory, replenishment, and order follow-up. You will coordinate with sales and operations to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate stock levels.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree, at least 2 years in purchasing/replenishment, strong communication and MS Office skills, and bilingual Spanish/English. Regular daytime hours apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business Administration or related area.
• 2 years minimum experience in purchasing, replenishment, or related area preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English- verbal/written).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily merchandise inventory level and replenishment of assigned categories.
• Follow up on orders placed to ensure on-time delivery of orders.
• Evaluate daily reports of out-of-stock merchandise and identify the reason and notify the Sales Department.
• Maintain up to date product database portfolio and perform inventory reporting.
• Maintain updated “Lead Time” and “Constrains” of containers from suppliers.
• Perform purchase projection analysis for replenishment decision making.
• Manage product transportation logistics once the purchase order has been confirmed.
• Verify and follow up on shipments in transit and maintain constant communication with the commercial and operations department on any new developments on the status of orders.
• Work report on developments that affected the month's results.
