Job summary

SUNY Oneonta's Extended and Community Learning Center seeks a Workforce Development Coordinator to plan and coordinate workforce development, continuing education, and grant-funded programs that support the region's economic mobility.

The role involves building partnerships with employers and agencies, managing multiple programs, and ensuring program quality and outcomes while working with enterprise systems and traveling locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program management / workforce development / community engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technology platforms.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate workforce development and continuing education programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with employers, agencies, and community partners.
• Coordinate program logistics, scheduling, materials, purchasing, and contracts.
• Monitor quality, outcomes, timelines, and compliance; report data and improvements.
• Provide learner support and customer service throughout recruitment to credential attainment.
• Represent SUNY Oneonta at events and engage regional stakeholders.
