Job summary

York College, part of The City University of New York, seeks a Director of Workforce/ Continuing Education Programs to ensure the success of existing sponsored cohort programs and to grow new partnerships. You will collaborate across departments and with employers, unions, and community groups to expand training opportunities.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, program oversight, grant writing, budget management, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight years related experience required.
• Five years of experience in workforce/continuing education training program development and management.
• Strong writing and communications skills.
• Grant writing and management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs.
• Identify opportunities and initiate new programs in collaboration with departments and external partners.
• Lead development and implementation of the strategic plan for Workforce Development and Continuing Education.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of sponsored degree and non‑degree programs.
• Conduct needs analysis and seek funding through grants and other sources.
• Develop MOUs and training contracts; oversee curriculum development and implementation.
• Prepare budgets, billing, and fee transfers; produce management reports.
• Supervise staff and participate in college committees.
