Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is a leading distributor for water, wastewater, storm drainage and fire protection products.

The Regional Sales Manager will drive direct territory sales toward distributors, with a focus on growing specification position and delivering full service including training and support. The role offers a competitive base salary plus commissions, a company vehicle, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Five+ years outside sales experience in the water distribution industry or related field.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
• Ability to travel 50% of work schedule (3–4 days/week).
• Ability to cover a large geographical sales territory.
• Intermediate computer experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Call on end product users to promote new and existing product lines and develop favourable specification position.
• Provide complete service to established distributor network including quotations, product training, technical support, and inventory/delivery issue management.
• Perform product training for end users and distributors to promote advantages of offered products and enhance specification position.
• Establish sales goals and specification objectives to meet company sales budget.
• Identify significant bid opportunities and provide complete project information including price strategy.
• Provide after-sale service support, including warranty and claims management.
• Actively participate in trade organizations to promote offered products.
• Provide leadership with monthly sales forecast and market overview.
