Job summary
City of Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced landscape architect to lead park capital improvement projects from analysis through construction. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and provide public engagement input for surveys and meetings.
The role requires formal landscape architecture training (LAAB-accredited preferred) and at least five years of related experience; licensing as a Landscape Architect in Michigan or the ability to obtain is
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Landscape Architecture from an LAAB-accredited program or related field.
- A minimum of five years of landscape architecture, planning, engineering, architecture or related experience.
- The City of Ann Arbor will consider an alternative combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as owner representative during analysis, planning, design, permitting, budgeting and development of park capital improvement projects.
- Provide design and planning assistance to Landscape Architect Capital Project Managers and ensure projects meet scope, time and budget.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, landscape architects, and contractors; present information at public meetings.
