Job summary

AEA Investors seeks a skilled Landscape Architect to support and oversee landscape architecture projects, contributing to sustainable parks and public spaces in the Washington, DC area. The role emphasizes design, coordination with planners, and managing contracts through construction.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in a related field, CPSI certification, and licensure or arborist credentials, with strong AutoCAD, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite skills.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in landscape design and project management.
• Experience with urban park stormwater management facilities, development reviews, and computer programs (AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam).
• Experience designing urban parks, public spaces, recreation facilities, and playgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Review development projects and provide design recommendations.
• Coordinate with planners on development guidelines, park master planning, and private development review processes.
• Manage projects, consultants, and contracts.
• Develop scopes of work, schedules, conceptual plans, designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and track expenditures.
• Conduct site analysis, create diagrams, and graphics using software tools.
• Develop planting designs and strategies.
• Facilitate civic engagement processes.
• Attend evening/weekend meetings and deliver presentations.
• Lead and coordinate bidding and permitting processes.
• Oversee projects during construction administration.
