Job summary

Georgia Recreation and Park Association Inc in Camden seeks an Executive Director to plan, develop, and direct Camden’s recreation facilities and programs with a strong emphasis on financial stewardship and strategic planning.

The role requires independent judgment, data‑driven analysis, and the ability to align operations with the PSA Board and community needs while guiding a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Sports Management, Public Relations or a relevant area.
• Work experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Must be strong in organizational leadership with progressively responsible management duties.

Responsibilities

• Leads development of annual operational budget with a strong focus on forecasting, revenue analysis, cost controls and resource allocation.
• Oversees approved budgetary expenditures and implements financial controls.
• Plans, develops and directs Recreation programs, services and facility operations.
• Prepares agendas and reports for monthly Board meetings.
• May be assigned additional responsibilities in emergencies.
