Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) is seeking a Receiving Planner to coordinate inbound and outbound material movements, including VMI hubs, suppliers, and customers, at AOI's Sugar Land, Texas site.

The role ensures accurate SAP records, timely shipments, and compliance with SOX and export regulations. You will work with internal and external partners to maintain inventory accuracy, processing purchase orders, and supporting on-time delivery in a combined office/warehouse/manufacturing

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and good written/verbal communication.
• Proactive with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily outbound deliveries, including orders, non-order shipments, and RMAs.
• Prepare shipping documents: waybills, labels, packing slips, invoices.
• Complete required export filings in ACE per export regulations.
• Monitor VMI/VOI hub inventory movements and record SAP transactions.
• Track offsite material flows and drop-ship orders in SAP.
