Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) in Sugar Land, Texas, is seeking a Production Control Planner to coordinate scheduling, material readiness, and expediting across Production, Material Control, Purchasing, Engineering, Shipping, Inventory, and Global Sourcing to align plans with material availability and customer delivery.

Reporting to the Manager of Production Control, you will build delivery plans, issue production orders, track progress, and identify risks early while communicating changes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in production control or related areas.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules and issue production orders as capacity changes.
• Track work orders and adjust schedules to meet delivery dates.
• Coordinate with Material Control to confirm material availability.
• Communicate status and risks to stakeholders; escalate as needed.
• Analyze data and prepare reports on production status and risks.
