Job summary

The City of Riverside seeks a dynamic Real Property Services Manager (Non-Classified) to lead the Real Property Services Division within the Community & Economic Development Department. The role directs acquisition, disposition, valuation and lease negotiations to support city projects and public use.

With a team of eight, the incumbent will supervise staff, manage budgets, review title work, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of property-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, real estate or closely related field.
• Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional experience in appraisal, acquisition and management of public property.
• Positions may require California Commercial Driver’s License and are safety sensitive per posting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate acquisition, disposition, valuation, recordation, lease negotiation and property management activities.
• Manage staff, budgets and division operations to support capital improvement projects.
• Prepare and negotiate deeds, easements, leases, licenses and related documents for real property transactions.
• Coordinate with City departments, agencies and the public to ensure conformance with policies and complete projects on time.
• Present proposals to elected officials and boards; advise on real property matters.
